Algebra Challange

My class is meant to take someone's from our class questions about algebra and answer them.

I chose my friend Abid.

Here are the answers:

Question 1:

Syed has to pack 96 cans of beans into a certain amount of box's, each box can hold 8 cans of beans. How many boxes will Syed end up packing?

Strategy:

                                                                                > 96 / 8 = x

                                                                                > 8x = 96

                                                                                > (8)12 = 96

                                                                                > 12 = x

Answer: 12

Question 2:

Yuvaan is in the library and has to put 77 books back in the shelves, each shelf can hold 7 books. How many shelfs will be filled up?

Strategy:

                                                                               > 77 / 7 = x

                                                                               > 11 = x

Answer: 11

Question 3:

Rayhan has to put all of Room 23's chromebooks away in the cabinet, there are 12 chromebooks and there are 4 shelves in the cabinet.  How many chromebooks can fit in one shelf?

Strategy:

                                                                               > 12 / 4 = x

                                                                               > 3 = x

Answer: 3
